An independent studio making playful games and thoughtful apps — small, personal software, shipped early and refined with care.
Two kinds of thing, usually. Games where your imagination is the input rather than your reflexes or your patience — our first, Aidolin, is a dueling game in which you write a creature into existence and then write what it does. And apps that help you make something meaningful for someone you care about, where the software gets out of the way.
What they have in common is that they give people room to be creative and thoughtful. That is the whole brief. If a feature does not serve it, it usually does not survive.
Everything is built small on purpose: quick to try, honest about what it is, and shaped by how people actually use it. We would rather ship something modest that works than announce something ambitious that does not exist yet.
That also means we say no to a lot. In Aidolin, for instance, nothing that affects the outcome of a match is for sale — not because it would not make money, but because the moment a paying player can out-score a free one, the thing the game is actually about stops being true.
Flox Studio is a very small independent operation based in the United Kingdom. There is no marketing department: if you write to us, one of the people who made the thing reads it.
Bug reports, ideas, and "have you thought about" emails are all genuinely welcome — see Contact, or write to flox-studio@proton.me.
